& we can make it whatever we want

i know we’d prefer the latter
suffering is part of the deal
but the ecstasy humming beneath its surface
is always waiting

and we can choose it if we could
only get out of our own way

loss, division, decay
possessions, identity, desire
the whole lot is a facade
a mirror
& a distraction
we are to enjoy the wonders of life without
stubbornly identifying with them
to enjoy, honor and let go
because they’re transient
but connection is forever
the truth behind a locked door
& love is the key
if you can’t find it,
you’re looking thru a veil
trapped in the divine comedy
a dream between dreams
you can choose to sleep
